The future of machining and industry 4.0 to debate in the Advanced Factories

The future of machining and industry 4.0 in the Advanced Factories

The future of machining and industry 4.0 to debate in the Advanced Factories

Sustainability, reindustrialization, circular economy… These are just some of the concepts that promise to be current in the sector machining and the industry 4.0 this new 2023. One of the sector's benchmark fairs, the Advanced Factories, returns this year celebrating the ‘Industry 4.0 Congress' and will present the strategies and how to face the modernization of the industry.

New values come into play for the machining and industry 4.0

The Advanced Factories will take place from 18 al 20 April in Barcelona. The congress will gather more than 380 industrial experts from key sectors for the machining as they are: the automotive, aeronautics, electronics, the railroad, among others. It will be possible to debate which are the most innovative strategies and management models to help the competitiveness of the industry.

One of the key points at the fair will be sustainability. The 'Industry Congress 4.0' has to be a forum for analysis of the importance of having low-consumption equipment in any industrial production and that, at the same time, less impact on the environment. Secondly, It must not be forgotten that they also have to offer a more efficient production with zero defects..

Recently, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism have announced the new Industry Law that promotes new objectives for machining and the industrial sector such as reindustrialization, the circular economy, climate neutrality and digitization. All these values must be entered appropriately to the process, to the product and business model. Automating the factory has advantages such as saving costs and increasing the quality of the products, It is also an excellent tool to collect data in the supply chain and be able to study improvements immediately.. Besides, individual components and final products can be tracked throughout the production chain.

The industry 4.0 It is also called the digital revolution., a revolution that aims to reduce errors that occur in traditional processes. This is helped by solutions such as virtual simulation technology or digital twins. Thus, possible virtual applications can be analyzed in the machining and the compatibility or interaction with immersive solutions, and errors in the product are reduced and, therefore, increases the quality.

At the same time, It is a type of revolution that machining can apply in different parts of the process such as, for example, the making, resource management or distribution... This means greater benefits for companies and a flexibility that they did not have before. This digitization in the machining leads to an improvement in both internal and external communication. Companies will be able to know more quickly what the market and customers demand, offering them the necessary degree of customization they want and improving their loyalty.

What does the future hold for machining and the industrial sector?

One of the topics of debate at the Advanced Factories will be the future, with the new solutions and innovations that affect both the machining like the industrial sector. Although the industry 4.0 It has meant an advance and improvement of the same, It also carries its risks.. By working increase work with data and in the cloud, the number of virtual attacks on data centers has increased. Hence, another of the debate axes is cybersecurity, in these we will talk about the applications of postquantum cryptography, cryptographic algorithms resistant to attacks carried out by quantum computing, in the industry.

By last, It is necessary to highlight the National Congress of Industrial Estates, which will serve as a colloquium on architecture and industrial urbanism that affects these urban areas.

Since Aspromec we help companies machining in its process of taking over the industry 4.0 in their productions. We offer personalized advice to be able to open up to new markets (both national and international) taking advantage of the latest digitization technologies provided by the sector.
