ALDAKIN promotes autonomous and intelligent manufacturing with its participation in the SARA project

ALDAKIN promotes autonomous and intelligent manufacturing with its participation in the SARA project

The transformation towards an increasingly intelligent and autonomous industry requires collaboration between leading companies in automation, robotics and advanced manufacturing. In this context, WITH THE HIP, ASPROMERC Sponsor Company, participate in the SARA industrial research project (Federated Process Management Architecture in Discrete Event Manufacturing Systems), a collaborative initiative aimed at developing technologies that allow progress towards more connected factories, autonomous and efficient.

ALDAKIN's participation in the SARA project focuses on increasing the precision and autonomy of industrial robots applied to manufacturing processes, especially when machining parts with high added value. For it, will develop an advanced kinematic model that allows characterizing the geometric errors of the robot, a kinematic calibration methodology supported by external measurement systems and a digital twin capable of generating trajectories that compensate for those errors that cannot be corrected through conventional calibration. In addition, will identify and structure the geometric precision attributes of the parts and define the sensorization and data capture requirements necessary to monitor the behavior of the robot.

On this basis, WITH THE HIP will investigate artificial intelligence models with self-learning capabilities to detect and compensate for slack, and will develop control systems integrated into the CNC for calibration and autonomous error correction. You will also design an architecture edge that allows following the evolution of kinematic parameters and relating their variations to the wear of mechanical components. As a result, An autonomous assistance tool will be obtained to identify and adjust the kinematic parameters of the robot, contributing to the development, monitoring and controlling robotic manufacturing cells with higher levels of precision, reliability and autonomy.
